Blind Surf

Yes, blind people love to surf too!

For the past 24 years Swamis Surfing Association has hosted the Blind Surf Event. Our community partners included the San Diego Blind Community Center, San Diego Surfing Academy, Hansen’s Surf Shop, California State Junior Life Guards and countless volunteers. The event this year on was a great success. The weather and waves were perfect, everybody pitched-in and had a great time. Our blind and sight-impaired participants caught a whole lot of waves. Swamis is more than a surf club. We are a non-profit 510(c)(3) social service organization that supports programs that benefit the community, serves others, creates awareness about our oceans and beaches, and preserves and protects the environment. Each year we work on programs such as the Blind Surf, Wounded Warriors, beach cleanups, and other events that make a difference in the lives of others. When you support Swamis Surfing Association you give back to the community. When you join Swamis Surfing Association you belong to an exceptional group of people like yourself who want to have fun and make a difference. The Blind Surf is just one of our many examples of how we share the love of our sport and what we stand for as an organization.
